Hello Reader! (wonder if there are any of you)
I am sitting here at school waiting for class to begin. Today is not my favorite of days, I get here around 7:30am and leave at 2pm. Class however does not start until 10am but I get here so early so that I can find parking. Only a few more days and this quarter will be over!
So far no responses from the Twitter clan. I know that some of them read this blog, but not sure who. I have not given up, but I am not going to harass them either. I will be writing another post soon and sending it out. Project Magic Christmas is what I think I am going to name this quest. I love a challenge, but even more I want my kids to have a magical Christmas.
Wy got his leg braces last week and has been wearing them to school this week for the first time. I was excited to see how excited he was to wear them and show them off. He has to wear them because he is extremely flat footed and his feet were beginning to turn in. He was almost walking on his inner ankles and one foot was beginning to tighten as a result.
Boo had her Kindergarten screening yesterday and was shy at first, but it has been all she has talked about since. She keep telling me what they did and what she did or didn't know. It is great that she is so excited to be starting school. Scary that my baby is going to be starting school.
Well guess I should begin the trek to class. Not that far but it is hot out there today and I really don't want to be wet with sweat when I get to class. Part of me wishes I could just sit here and play on the pc or write more papers due next week. This class I am headed to only has about 10 people left that show up oh well, guess I need to go take up a seat.
Happy day! Keep smiling!

Memorial Day
Hello readers!
So, just as I assumed no response from anyone yesterday. Although from my stats I know that some of them read the post.
Today is Memorial Day! Please remember those that have served our country, have given their lives for our country and those that are serving right now. They signed up for this, no one made them do it. They risk or gave their lives to keep us free!! Tell a soldier old or young thank you today!
There was a parade up the street today, but I think it would have been more than Wy could handle so we stayed home. We are going to meet a friend and her two kiddos at the sprinkler park in a bit though so we are getting out and enjoying the sun and HEAT! Sad to think a few weeks ago we were complaining that it was still in the 50's here. Oh well, our summers don't last that long.
If you are reading this off the link I gave you yesterday, thanks for the follow up. It means a lot to me. OH and on a side note, I got a retweet from Drew Carey on a tweet I sent him about his shoe Improv-a-ganza! If you haven't seen it yet, look for it. It is on GSN and is SOOO funny! If you liked Whose Line is it Anyway, then you will LOVE this!!
Hope you all enjoy the holiday, hug a soldier, a loved one and your kids today and everyday.

Going out on a limb (Now named Project Magical Christmas!)
Hello!
Chances are that if you are reading this, I sent you the link on Twitter. I chose you because, well honestly, because you are a celebrity. I have been racking my brain for ways to make this Christmas special for my kids. Last year they pretty much had a Craigslist Christmas, and this year is going to be the same unless this works.
So, let me cut to the chase, I would like your help getting my children to Disney for Christmas. Now, I know it sounds like a lot. I am not however asking for airfare even though it would be nice, I am willing to drive. I am also not looking to stay at the greatest hotel, I have a preference (Port Orleans Riverside), but will take a Value resort. I don't want park hopper passes or money to spend. Just the vacation.
I have a post before this one titled about me, but if you don't want to read that then here is the Cliff Notes version. I am a thirty something single mom of two kids. I am also a full time student. My student loans pay my rent and I get food stamps and another $480 from the state a month. Needless to say there isn't any left over at the end of the month.
I have been trying to come up with a way to do this on my own and just can't think of anything other than spending rent money and getting evicted. Can't do that so I thought I would try this approach. If you have read this far thank you for your time. Here is my email address if anyone feels inclined to help me out. snglmommylife@yahoo.com
Thank you again

About Me
Hello readers!!
My name is Sarah and I am a thirty something full time single mommy as well as a full time student. I will be up front in saying that I live on food stamps and government assistance in the amount of $480 a month. Needless to say, there is not any left over at the end of the month. Currently I am in the process of trying to get child support but apparently that is a SLOW process.
My kids are happy and healthy! They are Wy, a 6 year old with developmental delays, behavior issues and a speech delay along with sensory processing disorder. He will be entering first grade next year (SCARY). My daughter, Boo, is 5 years old and is ALL girl with a hint of tom boy thrown in for good measure hehe.
I am currently going to school to get my associates degree in early childhood education. It is sometimes a hard process since I don't have many options on evening or weekend childcare, so registering for classes has to be done as soon as possible and sometimes that is not enough. This summer for example, I am taking a total of 19 credit hours over the summer so that I can be full time over the entire summer. This is broken over three sections and only one class is the entire summer.
I decided to keep this blog for a couple reasons:
1. I don't get much adult conversation, so this is a good place to vent.
2. I can be somewhat anonymous and tell you as much or as little as I want.
3. I have a goal, get my kids back to Disney. So, I am tweeting the link to my next post to ALL the celebrities that I follow on Twitter for help.
Fingers crossed I might get some. See, we went in March with their dad. We had fun! They loved it but it was a tension filled and at times drama filled event. I would like to take them back for the Magic of Disney at Christmas but there is NO way I can do it on my own. So I am reaching WAY out there. I will keep anyone who cares posted hehe. Wish me luck here goes nothing.
